Authorized Requalification Facilities (ARF)

Under SON directives, all LPG cylinders in circulation must undergo statutory hydrostatic re-testing every 5 years. Facilities conducting these tests must hold valid SON ARF accreditation and integrate test records with the central NCRP registry.

The 5-Year Requalification Protocol:
  1. Visual internal and external degassing and cleaning.
  2. Ultrasonic wall thickness measurement against NIS 69:2019 minimums.
  3. Hydrostatic proof testing at 30 bar water jacket pressure.
  4. Valve inspection, calibration, or mandatory replacement with NIS 555 valve.
  5. Collar stamping with new SON 5-year expiration mark and digital QR renewal.
